For process-related reasons, approximately 20% of all screening and discharge chutes are suspended beneath material silos or dosing hoppers. ROSTA HSI-type vibration elements are frequently used for these applications, as they allow the screening machine to be suspended directly from the silo or hopper - without the need for complex yoke structures. This significantly reduces installation costs and provides greater flexibility in plant layout. The current HSI suspensions feature an optimized guide arm geometry specifically designed for tensile loads. This reduces the suspension’s natural frequency from approximately 5.5 Hz to about 3.5 Hz. This low natural frequency results in an isolation efficiency of over 97% and ensures exceptionally quiet operation with significantly reduced residual vibrations in silo structures and buildings. All HSI vibration mounts are made of AISI 304 stainless steel and are fully compatible and interchangeable with standard HS mounts.
